Once you have created your YLOODrive profile, you can start to track your driving lessons and supervised drives using the integrated YLOODrive logbook.

There are two types of drives you can do in YLOODrive

a) Driving lessons with a professional instructor (access this from your Dashboard)

b) Supervised drives with a parent or other guardian (access this from your Start Drive" tab)

To get started:

Step 1: Log in to your YLOODrive profile (https://app.yloodrve.com)

Step 2: Click on your dashboard

Step 3: Click on your "Start Drive" tab (supervised drives)

Step 4: Enter the information required to start your drive, namely select a supervisor and a vehicle, enter your start location and ODO Odometer reading of the vehicle you drive in, and click "start". Once you have completed your drive, enter your end location and end odometer reading and click "Submit"

For Professional driving lessons, follow the same process above, except start on your dashboard and choose "Lets start"

Helpful Information:

  • Each state in Australia has different logbook requirements for learner drivers. In general, learners must complete a minimum number of hours of supervised driving, including a certain number of hours of night driving.

For professional driving lessons, the number of hours recorded in the logbook is usually multiplied by a factor of three. This means that one hour of professional driving lessons will count as three hours toward the total required hours.

Here are the logbook requirements for learners in different states:

New South Wales: 120 hours of supervised driving, including 20 hours of night driving. Professional driving lessons count for a maximum of 10 hours towards the total.

Victoria: 120 hours of supervised driving, including 10 hours of night driving. Professional driving lessons count for a maximum of 30 hours towards the total.

Queensland: 100 hours of supervised driving, including 10 hours of night driving. Professional driving lessons count for a maximum of 30 hours towards the total.

Western Australia: 50 hours of supervised driving, including at least 5 hours of night driving. Professional driving lessons count for a maximum of 25 hours towards the total.

South Australia: 75 hours of supervised driving, including at least 15 hours of night driving. Professional driving lessons count for a maximum of 15 hours towards the total.

Northern Territory: 50 hours of supervised driving, including at least 5 hours of night driving. Professional driving lessons count for a maximum of 10 hours towards the total.

Australian Capital Territory (ACT): 100 hours of supervised driving, including at least 10 hours of night driving. Professional driving lessons count for a maximum of 10 hours towards the total.

As with other states, it's important to keep accurate records in your logbook and adhere to the specific requirements for your location. It's also worth noting that these requirements may be subject to change, so it's a good idea to stay up to date with any updates or changes to the regulations.
